As part of Maynilad’s maintenance program to ensure sustained optimal performance of all its facilities, there will be a temporary shutdown of its water treatment plant in Putatan, Muntinlupa, from September 28, 2023 to October 1, 2023.
This is the second of two scheduled plant shutdowns that Maynilad is conducting this year to allow for the implementation of essential maintenance and repair activities in its Putatan facilities. The first shutdown that was done in August 2023 enabled the company to repair a leaking inlet pipe that conveys treated water from the plants to the reservoir.
During this last scheduled shutdown, the company will replace the UF (Ultrafiltration) Inlet Valves needed to isolate water from the UF racks, which is essential to ease the process for regular filter changes. Maynilad will also take the opportunity to conduct other urgent maintenance and repairs at the said plant.
As a result of these activities, some Maynilad customers in parts of Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, and Pasay City in Metro Manila; and in Bacoor, Cavite City, Imus City, Noveleta and Rosario in Cavite Province, will have no water supply within a certain number of hours between September 28, 2023 and October 1, 2023.

Affected customers are advised to store enough water for the duration of the service interruption. Upon resumption of the water service, please let the water flow out briefly until it clears.
