Lingkod Eskwela enables West Zone public schools to improve their access to potable water. It involves the construction of drinking and handwashing stations, regular water quality testing, and regular sampling of drinking water to ensure its quality.
The company conducts education drives to underscore the link between reliable water and wastewater services and having a healthy community and sustainable environment.

This social enterprise involves tapping an urban poor community to upcycle old company uniforms into clothing and other items that are thereafter donated by Maynilad during its disaster relief operations.
After establishing a water cooperative in Tondo, Manila, the company organized women-leaders of the community into Kapwa, maker of hygiene and sanitation products. Its president, Lydia Codiñera, was named by Go Negosyo as one of 20 Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs in 2018.
Maynilad partnered with the City Government of Bacoor, Cavite, to form the Mamamayan para sa Lambat at Dagat Multi-purpose Cooperative, which maintains a shellfish farm and a supplies store from seed capital provided by the company. The “Tahong Coop” also leads efforts to clean up Bacoor Bay.
Maynilad installs vegetable gardens in shared community spaces to encourage customers to grow their own food. Apart from providing infrastructure such as vertical frames and drip irrigation, “green lifestyle” workshops are held to teach residents about urban gardening and environmental conservation.
This program provides an alternative livelihood to the slash-and-burn farming that the Dumagats, the indigenous community inhabiting the Ipo watershed, typically live on. Through driftwood crafts, Maynilad is able to engage the Dumagats and make them partners in preserving the Ipo watershed.
Originally created to reforest the watersheds in Angat, Ipo and La Mesa, the Plant for Life program is now a multi-site reforestation and afforestation program that includes the areas along the coastlines of Laguna Lake and Manila Bay. It also aims to sequester carbon emissions.
Maynilad keeps a Greenhouse Gas and Air Pollutants inventory that monitors and reports its emissions. Through this system, the company quantifies and validates carbon emissions from its operations and the effectiveness of its environmental programs.
The company is an active partner of the government and community-based organizations in restoring Manila Bay, Laguna Lake, Pasig River and tributaries back to their former glory through cleanups, adopt-a-waterbody project initiatives, and other efforts.
Maynilad works with the government and other private organizations in providing calamity aid. Through the provision of clean water, compact microfiltration systems, and technical assistance to partners, the company strives to deliver relief to those who need it most.
