Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) won five Merit Awards at the 47th Anvil Awards held yesterday, February 24, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
Maynilad received four Merit Awards under the Communications Tools Category for “To the Beat of 6B” Customer Service Rally (Special Events), “Changing for the Better: The 2011 Maynilad Calendar” (Publications: External Publications), “Maynilad Water Journey Audio CD” (Multimedia – Others) and “Unfolding the Benefits of Sewer Connections: The Maynilad Sewerage System Flyer” (Publications: External Publications).
The West Zone concessionaire was also given noteworthy distinction for its Greenhouse Gas and Air Pollutant emissions inventory program on “Laying the Road to Sustainability” (Public Relations Programs – on a Sustained Basis).
The Anvil Awards is awarded by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). It is the symbol of excellence in public relations in the Philippines, awarded by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury to outstanding public relations programs and tools designed and implemented in the past year.
“We are humbled and grateful for the recognition we received. These awards serve as inspirations for us to do even better in our communication efforts to be able to reach out to our customers and other stakeholders,” said Maynilad president and CEO Ricky Vargas.
