Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) won one Excellence and three Merit Awards at the 2014 Philippine Quill Awards held last March 9, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza in Ortigas.
Maynilad’s “Daloy Dunong Water Education Program” and “Mission Ginhawa: Water Solution for Yolanda-hit Communities” disaster response program were recognized under the Corporate Social Responsibility category of the Communication Management Division, with an Award of Excellence and a Merit Award, respectively.
Meanwhile, the company was also given noteworthy distinction for the “Maynilad Website Re-launch” project (Digital Communication Channels category), and “Ripples: The Official Newsletter of Maynilad” (Publications category), both under the Communication Skills Division.
“We are grateful and humbled by this recognition from the IABC for Maynilad’s social responsibility and communication programs. This will certainly inspire our people to continue developing effective CSR and communication initiatives that ultimately enable us to better serve our customers,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky Vargas.
The Philippine Quill is awarded by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). It is the foremost mark of excellence and professional acknowledgment within business communication. The Award recognizes the most effective and innovative communication initiatives in the country.
