Maynilad will start the implementation of its pipelaying project along Aguinaldo Highway on April 15. Once the project is completed in October 2009, Maynilad will initially connect some 9,000 households in Bacoor and Imus, Cavite to its water distribution network.
During the project’s implementation, motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes to alleviate the traffic along Aguinaldo Highway:
From Manila to Cavite:
1. General Evangelista to Salinas Road
2. Daang Bukid to Salinas Road
3. Imus to Binakayan Road to Patindig Araw
From Cavite to Manila:
1. Mambog to Niog
2. Mambog to Molino Road
3. Daang Hari to Molino Road
Maynilad’s P450 million project involves the installation of a 1,400-mm pipeline from Longos/Coastal Road in Las Piñas to Bacoor/Imus boundary, and a 700-mm pipeline from Bacoor/Imus boundary to Mambog, Imus, Cavite.
These major pipelaying works are part of Maynilad’s P1.6 Billion project to serve waterless areas in Cavite. The Aguinaldo Highway project is expected to generate as much as 4,500 jobs this year.
