West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) joined other government agencies in the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding that seeks to protect waterways in Metro Manila from the indiscriminate discharge of untreated wastewater by some establishments and villages. The MOU establishes the respective roles of the relevant agencies in rehabilitating the Manila Bay through pollution prevention and control, and in ensuring compliance to Republic Act 9275 or the “Philippine Clean Water Act”.
