West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) was recently awarded five ISO certifications for three of its facilities after passing stringent international standards for Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental (ISO 14001:2015), Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001:2018), and Energy Management Systems (ISO 50001:2018).
Following rigorous review by international auditing and certification body TUV Rheinland Philippines, Maynilad’s Molino-Paliparan Pumping Station and Reservoir earned ISO certifications in Quality, Environment, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management Systems; while two of its newest sewage treatment plants—Pasay and Parañaque Water Reclamation Facilities—received Energy Management System certifications for optimizing energy efficiency in its operations.
In total, Maynilad now has 274 ISO certificates across multiple facilities and offices.
Meanwhile, Maynilad also successfully expanded the scope of the Quality, Environment, and OSH Management Systems of two offices (i.e., Process Excellence, and Human Resources – Industrial Relations and Management Services), as well as the scope of the Information Technology Service Management System (ISO/IEC 20000-1: 2018) of its ITS-Industrial Automation & Design department.

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is the concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
