West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. has completed seven major pipe replacement projects across Quezon City in 2025, enabling the recovery of about 8 million liters per day (MLD) of water and helping improve water pressure and supply reliability in several communities.
The ₱563-million project involved the replacement of 32 kilometers of old, leaky pipelines, covering pipe sizes from 75mm to 300mm in the secondary and tertiary distribution system and 1,050mm in the primary distribution system.
The completion of these projects benefited over 100,000 residents across several barangays, including San Jose, Pag-ibig sa Nayon, Maharlika, Bagong Silangan, Sangandaan, Granvills Neighborhood, Real Estate Neighborhood, Bahay Toro, Sta. Monica, San Isidro Labrador, Santa Teresita, Lourdes, San Agustin, and Nagkaisang Nayon, with service improvements such as better water pressure and more stable supply observed in these areas.
Completed in 2025, the Quezon City pipe replacement projects form part of Maynilad’s Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Management Program, which focuses on reducing water losses and improving system efficiency through the establishment of District Metered Areas (DMAs), advanced network diagnostics, active leak detection and repair, pipe replacement initiatives, and strict meter management.
