Maynilad completes P57M project in Muntinlupa

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recently completed a P57-million pipe-laying project in San Jose Subdivision and South Greenheights Subdivision, both in the City of Muntinlupa. The project involved the laying of about 18 kilometers of pipes in the two previously waterless subdivisions.

The energization of the new pipelines immediately resulted in 24-hour water supply and increased pressure for residents in San Jose and South Greenheights. Maynilad also plans to install an online booster in the area this month, to further improve water availability and pressure for residents located on the elevated portions of the subdivisions.

Before Maynilad implemented its pipe-laying project, residents of South Greenheights relied on individual deep wells for their water supply, while those in San Jose would spend about P1,200 per month for water deliveries from private vendors.

“We continue to invest in our water infrastructure so that people in the South no longer have to pay private water tankers for expensive and unsafe water. We are also grateful to the residents of San Jose and South Greenheights for cooperating with us during the implementation stage of our project,” said Maynilad President and CEO Ricky P. Vargas.

Maynilad is the largest concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is a concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (all but portions of San Andres & Sta Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; Cavite City, and the towns of Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
