Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) Chief Information Officer, Dr. Francisco Castillo, was recently declared “ASEAN CIO of the Year” during the ASEAN StrategyForum Executive IT event held recently in Singapore.
The “ASEAN CIO of the Year” title is an annual recognition given to an individual who has displayed exceptional leadership and contributed significantly to his company’s growth and influence.
As head of Maynilad’s Information Technology (IT) Services Division, Castillo spearheaded the revamp of the water company’s IT infrastructure, which improved business processes and made access to operational information faster for enhanced delivery of customer services.
Under Castillo’s leadership, Maynilad was able to obtain an ISO certification for its information technology service management system (ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011), and also received the SAP Customer Center of Expertise certification for its efficient business processes.
The ASEAN StrategyForum Executive IT 2016, hosted by Management Events of Finland, was attended by around 100 Chief Information Officers and IT directors from all over Southeast Asia.
