West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recently built two new water reservoirs at the Cavite Naval Base to boost water supply and pressure inside the military camp.
These reservoirs have a combined holding capacity of 1,500 cubic meters, and provides potable surface water to the Naval Base Heracleno Alano (former Sangley Point) and the nearby Naval Station Pascual Ledesma (former Fort San Felipe).
The installation of these reservoirs, which convey water through 20 watering points inside the military camps, supplemented the lone 1,200 cu.m. reservoir of the Philippine Navy. This greatly improved their daily operations, including the provision of water to naval ships.
“We are grateful to Maynilad for always supporting the Philippine Navy. Before those reservoirs were built, our ships had to get water supply from other sources, thus we end up spending so much more. Now, we have saved a lot of money because of Maynilad," said Cavite Naval Base Deputy Commander Francisco Gabudao Jr.
Maynilad has been providing potable and sufficient water supply to the military facilities, schools, hospital, and homes of over 5,600 residents inside the military camp since 2008. Prior to Maynilad’s service, their only water sources are deep wells that have already become over-extracted

Maynilad is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain areas), Quezon City (certain areas), Makati (certain areas), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon—all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario—all in Cavite Province.
