West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recognized 12 vendors who met its strict performance standards during the company’s annual Top Achievement for Partners (TAP) Awards, held recently at Conrad Hotel Manila in Pasay City.
The 12 awardees were judged based on the quality of their products and services, cost efficiency, timely delivery, responsiveness, consistency, and compliance to health and safety.
Now on its sixth year, Maynilad’s TAP Awards aims to sustain excellent performance among the company’s suppliers, consultants and contractors, who conduct projects needed for continued service improvements in the West Zone.
“Maynilad needs partners who exhibit a sense of urgency, who comply with our integrated management systems, and who share our concern for protecting public welfare. The annual TAP Awards is our way of acknowledging our partners’ efforts,” President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez said.
This year’s top-performers are Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation, Mc Mai (Cebu) Trading Corporation, Philippine Valve Manufacturing Company, Nation Manufacturing & Industrial Products Corporation, Goldlink Security and Investigative Services, Inc., BIG Construction, Inc., Trilex Builders and Construction Supply Inc., D.M. Consunji, Inc., D.A. Tuazon Construction & Development Corp., Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong Ltd., A.A. Alarilla Construction Co., Inc., and JFE Engineering Corporation.
Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
