West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) recognized 12 top-performing suppliers and contractors who met its strict performance standards during the company’s annual Top Achievement for Partners (TAP) Awards, held recently at the Maynilad Head Office in Balara, Quezon City.
This year’s TAP Awardees were judged based on the quality of their products and services, cost efficiency, timely delivery, responsiveness and competency, and compliance to environment, safety and health standards.
Aptly themed “Partners in Quality and Excellence”, Maynilad’s TAP Awards aims to sustain excellent performance among the company’s partners, who conduct projects needed for continued service improvements in the West Zone.
“We need the right partners to help us achieve our mission and service obligations, TAP Awards has motivated our partners to sustain their exemplary performance, enabling Maynilad to continuously expand its customer base and yield enhanced service levels,” President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez said.
This year’s top-performers are Falcon Metal Corporation (Cost Excellence Award), Technolog Limited (Delivery Excellence Award), Prime Opus Inc. (Responsiveness Excellence Award), Nation Manufacturing & Industrial Products Corporation (QESH Excellence Award), Arrow Electrical Supply (Most Improved Supplier of the Year), Philippine Valve Manufacturing Company (Supplier of the Year), Arenar Builders, Co. (All Works), Arcadis Langdon Seah, Inc. (Consultancy Services), E.C. Mallari Construction Corporation (Secondary and Tertiary Pipelaying), Trilex Builders and Construction Supply Inc. (Small and Medium Facilities), D.M. Consunji, Inc. (Major Water and Wastewater Facilities), and D.A. Tuazon Construction & Development Corp. (Primary Pipelaying and Contractor of the Year).
Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the West Zone of the Greater Manila Area, which is composed of the cities of Manila (certain portions), Quezon City (certain portions), Makati (west of South Super Highway), Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila; the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite Province.
