West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) has announced the appointment of Mr. Christopher Jaime T. Lichauco as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective September 1, 2025.
Lichauco succeeds Mr. Randolph T. Estrellado, who will retire from the company by end-August upon reaching retirement age, following nearly 19 years of service that helped shape Maynilad’s transformation.
The newly appointed COO will also concurrently serve as President and Director of Amayi Water Solutions, Inc. and President of Boac Water Solutions Company, both subsidiaries of Maynilad.
A homegrown talent, Lichauco has been with Maynilad for 27 years. He started as a Project Manager and later became Business Area Operations Head before being appointed in 2013 as Head of the Customer Experience and Retail Operations (CXRO) Division, the company’s largest business unit. Under his leadership, CXRO strengthened its customer-centric operations, streamlining processes in customer service, retail operations, and technical site management.
Lichauco holds a Master’s in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Management from Ateneo de Manila University.
With Lichauco’s appointment as COO, Maynilad also named Rudy O. Baylas Jr. as the new Head of CXRO.
Baylas, who joined Maynilad in 2002 as part of its cadet engineer program (batch 2), steadily advanced through various technical and managerial roles in the company. Over the past two decades, he has led functions ranging from non-revenue water reduction and planning, to customer care and business operations central services, and most recently served as North Business District Head.
A licensed civil engineer, Baylas earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from New Era University in 2001.
