Since June 10, some portions of Muntinlupa, Parañaque and Cavite have been getting intermittent water supply due to further reductions in our treatment facility’s supply output.
We were constrained to further reduce production of our treatment plant in our effort to maintain water quality despite the worsening quality of raw water from Laguna Lake and our ongoing rehabilitation works in our facility.
To mitigate the effect of the facility’s intermittent output, Maynilad has been deploying 39 tankers to the affected areas since June 10. We will be dispatching nine additional tankers and installing two stationary water tanks to accommodate more requests for rationing. Maynilad is also implementing valve adjustments to better manage supply in the distribution system, so that we can return to the scheduled supply window for Muntinlupa, Parañaque and Cavite at the soonest possible time.
These mitigating measures will continue until our treatment facility returns to normal levels of production in July, following the completion of our rehabilitation works inside the facility. Also, with the onset of the rainy season, we expect the quality of water from the lake to improve and our production to increase.
We apologize for the inconvenience this situation has caused. Please bear with us as we facilitate rehabilitation works in our treatment facility.
