Some 3 million people in the West Zone still do not have access to safe, reliable and affordable water. Maynilad is working doubly to serve these customers.
We have an aggressive and strategic service improvement program for the next 5 years. Beginning 2008, we will invest P36.8 billion in the rehabilitation and expansion of pipe networks in our concession area. We will also build water treatment facilities that will allow us to serve more customers in the southernmost portion of the West Zone.
By 2013, we hope to provide 98% of our concession area with 24-hour water supply at a minimum pressure of 7 pounds per square inch (psi).
