MAYNILAD Water is upgrading its pipe network in Manila as part of its continuous effort to improve service, resulting in a temporary water supply interruption in some areas starting from 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008, until 1 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2008.
The service improvement project involves interconnections of a 900-mm line to the existing 400-mm mainline along U.N. Ave. corner Romualdez St.; a 900-mm line to the existing 500-mm mainline along U.N. Ave. corner Mabini St.; and a 900-mm line to the existing 900mm along U.N. Ave. corner Taft Ave., all in Ermita, Manila.
This will result in a water service interruption in the area bounded by P. Gil, Quirino Ave., Adriatico and Roxas Blvd. in Malate; area bounded by U.N. Ave., Padre Faura, Mabini, A, Flores, and J. Bocobo; area along U.N. Ave. from Canonigo to Taft Ave.; and Cristobal St., Tanque, Correa, Perez, Romualdez, San Marcelino, Gen. Luna and Gonzales St., all in Manila.
Maynilad is advising residents in these areas to store water good for the duration of the water service interruption. They may also call Maynilad Water Hotline 1626.
